Bass and Trombone

Bob was born in London in 1952. He joined the Coldstream Guards as a trombonist/cellist then later added the double bass and bass guitar, but no doubt he could play any instrument he set his mind too. He has a vast experience of playing in bands of all types and many musical formats including rock, theatre and show, holiday camp, orchestral, big bands, a circus in Hong Kong and jazz of all persuasions.

He moved to Devon in 1992, took up the trumpet, got to be really good on it - then gave it up, took up the sousaphone which he still plays.  He has a fantastic memory for tunes enabled by perfect pitch [yes really] and an amazing ‘ear’; these skills being utilised for his recording business.

Sometimes he disappears to play on ocean liners!
